Rebus Theatre and Project Alchemy Present:
HIDDEN SONICS
an interactive performance/workshop
Sound is hidden in found objects, discarded rubbish, and nature's bits and pieces. Participants will be asked to fossick and collect something that makes a noise or sound, a found object, a piece of nature, some rubbish, anything they can find in the 10 minutes allocated to search the surrounding area of the workshop. On return to the space, musician and artist Kelly Sturgiss will help you weave these sounds into a group symphony. Participants will receive a mastered recording of the piece.
Hidden Sonics is part of a Project Alchemy, a series of cross disciplinary arts projects to build community connection across south-east Australia. The project is facilitated by award winning Canberra based Rebus Theatre and involves 15 artists from Bega Valley Shire, Eurobodalla Shire, East Gippsland, Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council, and the ACT.
